That helps to keep the points up. For instance not until after G1 Shane and Kaylynn passed away did I realize I needed to give points for both the LTW and the profession. Robin's rules say you can move a sim out and still count their points if they finished LTW, so I'd think getting borked would be the same kind of deal.
