Generation 2.3

My oh my...it seems that we start out this entry with Jackie behaving inappropriately again...but then again that is one of his traits.  I believe I like playing inappropriate Sims.  Jackie went downtown on a Saturday afternoon to report his development in charisma to the courthouse, in the meantime  I played the house.  I noticed when I checked his status, he was talking to this woman.  Just as I zoomed in on him, he was laying one on her.  Heh.  he did not lose his 'eternally faithful' status.  Hm.  The two went on to carry a conversation to 'get to know' each other better. Jackie, you Casanova, you!

At this point in time, Marion moves out.  "It's about time,"  she quipped.  "I have supported this family long enough.  Let my brother the doctor, my brother the journalist, and my brother the scientist be the financiers.  I wanna go to the firehouse every Wednesday night and play bingo.  I am officially in retirement!"  So off she went.

The same day her Aunt Marion moved out, Kaley had a birthday.  What a cutie-patootie!

Everyday after Rosanna was through cleaning, Henry would always ask if she wanted to hang out.  Of course she would always say yes.  These two were so attracted to each other, no influence was needed from me to get them to pay attention to each other.  They would carry on, all on their own.  Hugging, kissing, making out.   I happened to check what was available for Henry, and Propose Marriage was now in the menu.  And so it was, as Henry was also wishing for it.  A wedding party was planned for later that day, as the proposal took place at 3 am and everyone was tired and and needed sleep.

Before the party, Peter worked with his little sister some on speech development.  Hm.  Looks like Peter inherited his dad's and grandpa's muscles.   Kaley learned to talk in one session.

The wedding took place in the Cartwright back yard.  Heh, looks like Rosanne's formal attire is a pair of jeans.

Rosanne Cartwright

Become An International Super Spy - Boo!  The founder, Shane Cartwright already did this

Traits:
Brave
Flirty
No Sense of Humor
Neat
Charismatic

However, I really like this couple.  They were moved out as unplayables in Sunset Valley, moved in with Marion.  You will see them again in Monte Vista as a splinter from the founding family.   Rosanne is 9 days to aging up to adult.

This guy stood in the back yard all night long after the party was long over and kept throwing rice over and over.  Heh.  He stayed until morning, and then all the next day making himself at home eating, watching TV and talking with the new maid (who happened to look alot like Rosanne).  Finally Wendy asked him to leave.

Melodie Parent came home on the bus with Peter.  These two started throwing hearts for each other.  But then....here is where Melodie's heart is...

??? What?  I have never seen a Sim make it so blatently known they just want to be with another Sim because of simoleons.  Get a pleasant memory of marrying a rich Sim..yes...but not saying right out, I wanna be with you because you have money?  lolol  I chuckled when I read this.  It is true, the Cartwrights are up to almost a quarter mil now.  Money is not an issue.

In the meantime, Wendy is three points away from fullfilling her LTW, and keeps throwing wishes to join the medical career.  I don't think so.

This is Selena Bolech.  She came home on the bus with Humphrey the next day.  The game is throwing some nice potential mates.  Heh.  I wonder what bug is in Selena's bonnet???

Peter and Melodie went on a date, and was caught out late.  The police brought Peter home in a police car with a screaming siren, and Jackie wasted no time reading his son the riot act.

Peter's dating snafu did not deter Jackie from reaching the top of his career the next day.  Being the last of the Cartwright triplets to reach the top of his career, he is  three days from his birthday to elderhood.  Finally Jackie!!!

It was time for Kaley to grow up to child, and naturally a birthday party was held in the back yard.  The Cartwrights had been moving swiftly up the financial ladder and finally remodeled a new patio area in the side yard, and also moved the garden to that side.  Being that Henry had moved out of the house with Rosanna, there was now no one who could garden all the fantastic plants.  Henry had recently received notice that he could now plant eggs and cheese, but then moved away.   The gardening would now be up to Wendy who was a natural green thumb, but still had to develop her gardening skill.

The birthday party was a near disaster, not even close to the parties the Cartwrights normally hosted with lots of food and music.  The birthday girl was so exhausted from playing all day long she cried and cried.  Her parents would place her in the crib, only to be taken out again in an attempt to get her to blow out the birthday candles.  Finally her Uncle Gene was able to persuade her to blow out the candles, and none too soon as a couple of guests had left exclaiming what a lame party it was.

Kaley finally blew out the candles, and took on the trait Evil.

Traits
Evil
Brave
Light Sleeper

She will be fun to play!

The day after Kaley grew up, her brother Humphrey took her to the pool. She kept splashing Sims in the face.  Humphrey was not pleased.  Humphrey however had been on a diet, and lost a good bit of weight that day.  He came away from the pool looking much slimmer.

That night Wendy had a gig at the local diner to play guitar at a fundraiser for a local politician.  When the fundraiser was over:

Wendy was a master guitarist, and thus a Master of the Arts.  Everything she does now will be included in the Completion Challenge.

Kaley has the evil trait, and wastes no time sneaking up on everyone.  Jackie really loves to spend time outside, especially since he had this wonderful patio installed, and had a gardening area developed for Wendy.  Since Wendy has reached her lifetime goal, she can now spend time gardening, for which she is a natural.  (I love these big flowers, they throw big pieces of 'sunshine' around which gives the Sim a 'sunshine' moodlet that lasts an hour.  Nice.)

It was time for Jackie and Henry to grow up.   In the usual Cartwright fashion, a big party was held on the side yard, now the nice remodeled patio.  Jackie aged up first.  I think the smoking jacket outfit will change.

Gene the world renowned surgeon was next.  Gene never really fell in love with any Sims hard and fast, but the girl two pictures up with the blue female  mowhawk flashed a 'heartbroken' thought with Gene's picture in it when he aged.  They did date a couple of times, but it never developed along like the Henry and Rosanna relationship did.  That girl lives next door to the Cartwrights, and is actually a Sim I made of my daughter who also plays TS3.  If anyone is interested, she is available for download on the exchange.

Sim Xrabbite (Holly) followed Gene in the house and cried and cried.  Gene immediately retried from his job so he could spend time romancing Xrabbite.  :)  I can't say no to my daughter, even in pixel form.

This is where I will end this entry of generation 2 for the Cartwrights in Sunset Valley.  The next entry will move onto Generation 3.   Next I will put a couple of cursory pictures and notes about what happened to Henry and Rosanna in Monte Vista.  This is how I plan to blog the splinter families...just a few pictures and notes, mostly factual.  The main part of the blog will be the founding family in Sunset Valley.

The Cartwrights in Monte Vista:

Henry and Rosanna moved into a lovely home in Monte Vista.  Henry immediately set about getting his garden started, so he could have a Perfect Garden.  He brought along perfect seeds from Sunset Valley to get it started.

After entertaining the folks who came by to welcome them to the neighborhood, Isabella and Bianca Monty, and Edwardo and Carlotta GilsCarbo, Rosanna visited the police station and got a job in law enforcement.  Henry entertained the idea of quitting his job as a mad scientist but decided against it because the couple only had $1,800 in liquid cash.  He hoped to get a couple of harvests under his belt from the garden, then he could think about retirement and staying home with his lovely Rosanne and taking care of his vegetable garden.

It wasn't long before Rosanne found out she was pregnant.  (Hoping to get the hidden trait of 'no messes' since Rosanne was a maid in Sunset Valley).  She is hoping for a girl.

A buglar came and stole the bathtub.  heh.  Luckily Henry had worked a couple of days and was able to replace it quickly.  I thought maybe Roseann's 'brave' trait would kick in and she would fight the buglar, but no such luck.

Rosanne and Henry have a son who they named Breckin.  So I pull out the NRaas Master Controller to see if he has any hidden traits.

Woah....he has two.  He most certainly picked up the neat trait from his mother...but where did he get the burglar one?  I check Henry.

There it is.  Okay then I figure it came from the founder Shane Cartwright, who was in law enforcement.  :)  Yay for Completion Challenge points!  Now Breckin just needs to meet his LTW.  But then this leads me to think...why didn't Henry stop the buglar who took the bathtub?  *shrug*

Henry takes a page from his brother's book and ages up into a smoking jacket.  That will change.  He aged up while upgrading a stereo for Goopy's dad, Eduardo GilsCarbo.  Notice this picture is strategicaly placed so we don't see Rosanne's feet.  Her workout clothes include the awesome flippers.  heh

That is it for Generation 2.  Stay tuned for :

The Cartwrights - Generation 3.  :)  *ASimWen is now gonna watch the Oscars*.

Have fun everybody, and keep on Simmin'!

Generation 2.2

The birth of Peter and Humphrey put a stress on the family, and it seemed like to Wendy, that Jackie picked a fight with her every time she turned around.  This is showed how 'inappropriate' he was being, and how 'grumpy'.

But the boys didn't notice the strife between their parents.  There was always someone with them 24/7,  if it was playing chess on the laptop at 3:00 am, (Henry) or watching TV or painting.  Jackie, however was not being an attentive husband.

Speaking of Henry, he mastered gardening, and can now do just about anything that has to do with the plants.

Wendy's sister Yusun Flowers called and asked  Gene if he would like to go on a date, and he agreed, being that he had a rare day off from the hospital.  They met at the art gallery.  After the date started, Gene wondered why Yusun had asked him out, it was apparent they did not have any chemistry at all.  But then on the other hand Gene does have Commitment Issues.

Soon it was time for the boys to grow up, and  lots of folks from the neighborhood showed up.  Jackie was able to get out of his bad mood funk long enough to help his boys blow out candles.

Peter Cartwright

but when it came time for Humphrey to blow out his candles, the cake exploded.  (This is the first time this has ever happened in my game.  What fun!)   Uncle Gene whipped out the fire extinguisher to put out the flames...

And managed to put the fire out before too much burned.  Another birthday cake had to be brought in for Humphrey.  LaShawn Christian was right up front to see the whole thing.

Humphrey grew up then, without incident.  The party was a moderate success, despite most of the party guests leaving after the birthday cake caught fire.

It seemed that nowadays the Cartwrights burned the candle at both ends.  Marion toiled away at the computer every waking moment reaching out for a goal of 20 books written.  A friend had put in an order for a Satire written by her, and she worked on it steadily.

At this point in his life, Jackie was now a weather man in the Journalism field, and didn't have to write any more commentary and articles about his neighbors and friends.  He had lost a friend who didn't like something he wrote about her.

Henry was now a Genetic Resequencer, at the top of his field in gardening and nearly there for fishing.  He keeps a steady wish to move up to the top of the scientific field.

Gene, who is a happy go lucky kinda guy and proverbially in a good mood all the time, is now an Infectious Disease Researcher, and constantly gets calls from girls for dates.  Perhaps they see him as a challenge, having the Commitment Issues trait.

Even the lovely Jacklyn Riddick couldn't catch his interest, even though Gene thought it to be the gentlemanly thing to take her to dinner and afterward, a play .

Just a few days later, it was the triplet's birthday.

While a big neighborhood party was planned and executed for the twins Peter and Humphrey, the triplets did no such thing.  Jackie was the first to age up, being roused out of bed during and evening nap.  He lost the hat he tended to wear constantly.

Henry was the next to advance to adulthood, gaining handsome chiseled features.  Jackie thought his brother looked hilarious upon aging up.....however, no thought was given to his own habit of prancing around the house in a pair of speedos.

Gene was next, growing up on the beach where he had spent the day fishing.  Nothing like a day away from sick patients, and adoring girls.  He harbors a wish to master fishing, it is only about a half a skill point away.

Wendy aged up a couple of evenings later, just as she was coming out of  Doo Peas Corporate Towers after delivering 10 paintings.  At this point in her life, Wendy is well on her way to being a Master of the Arts, having nearly mastered painting, and has four skill points in guitar.

Then one day it happened...Gene found a girl who made his heart throb.  Rosanna Ezell, their maid.  Jackie did not think much of Gene's attraction to Rosanna.  Gene could not help himself, he had to flirt with Rosanna.

Henry was the next Cartwright to meet his lifetime goal.  Now everything he does can be included in the Completion Challenge.  Congratulations, Henry!

The very same day, on the day of the twin's birthday party their Uncle Gene reaches the top of his career as well.  It looks like everything he does will be included in the Completion Challenge.

And the party commenced.  Again, Jackie was on hand to help his boys blow out the candles on their birthday cakes.

Humphrey picked up the "exciteable" trait.

Peter Cartwright picked up the trait "vehicle enthusiast".

Henry had a day off from work, and decided to do a little midnight fishing the night before.  He went to the cemetery and fished until dawn, then  decided to tour the mausoleum.  He got pretty scared during the tour.  He came right home and worked the garden.  He did find a life fruit in the mausoleum, and planted it right away.

The day the life fruit was planted was also the first day the twins went to school. It was also the day their mom Wendy maxed her painting skills and put the brush down to concentrate on guitar.  She used the same guitar her dearly departed mother in law Kaylynn used as a rock star, so surely it had some magic left in it.

Peter and Gene were on hand when one evening Marion jumped up from her laptop where she had been toiling on her latest drama, and aged up.  Gene was surprised to see the whole thing, and Peter clapped with delight.

The next day, Wendy found out she was pregnant, and immediately started a strict diet of watermelon, as she wanted a little princess.

Henry occasionally received calls from girls for dates.  Who would this be but the maid, Rosanna Ezell, whom Henry's brother Gene had hit on.  Henry felt a strong 'magnetic' attraction to Rosanna.  She seemed so sweet, as she wanted to meet at Henry's favorite fishing hole.

However, his scientific mind couldn't decipher the inane conversation she constantly chattered, and he fell asleep in boredom.

One afternoon , Wendy was in the backyard practicing guitar, and she realized the baby was ready to be born.  Jackie was at work, but Gene was on hand to take her to the hospital.

Jackie and Wendy became the proud parents of baby girl Kaley.  She picked up the traits of Brave and Light Sleeper.

Henry couldn't help himself....it seemed Rosanna was his.  He confessed his attraction to her, in his mind it didn't really matter what came out of her mouth.  He was so strongly attracted to her that he asked her to go steady, and she said yes.

The same day their Uncle Henry professed his love to Rosanna, the twins grew up.  Peter picked up the trait Loner.  Peter's dad Jackie laughed and pointed at his aging up.  That seems to be what he does with everyone when a birthday happens.

Humphrey picked up  the trait ambitious, like his aunt Marion.  Again, Jackie was pointing and laughing.

And I think this is a good place to end this entry, I could go on forever with it, but it is time to break.  heh  At this point in time, the house if full to the max.  I may have to break down and expand it, but I am too lazy at this point.  There isn't room to do much of anything.   If Henry planted every type of plant he had in his inventory at one time, the Cartwrights would have a Perfect Garden, and if he and Gene pushed the fishing a little, they would be able to make Ambrosia.  Not sure  I want it.  The men could make a Perfect Aquarium.

Marion has earned a total of $66,717 writing, and her current weekly royalties are $21,938.  She is about a third of the way through elderhood.  I am considering let her slow down with that and enjoy life.  She has accomplished all writer sub challenges.

I am in a quandry about Henry and Rosanna.  He really likes her, is just a few days from elderhood.  However, get engaged never comes up and I am thinking it is because she is a homeless Sim, and there is no room for her to move in.  I could move out Marion to make room for Rosanna, but then Henry and Rosanna would not be able to have kids.  The family certainly doesn't need any money that Marion could contribute, they are well off.

Anyway, have fun simmin', everybody!
