G3 University

Generation 3 Kaley Cartwright is the first Cartwright to attend University. With a lifetime want of Alchemy Artisian and being that her eye was on a witch named George Ramey as a spouse, it seemed only reasonable that she attend University in the School of Science and Medicene to learn all she could about mixing potions.

Kaley immediately set about writing George a love letter.  She wanted to make sure their long distance relationship survived her years in University.

She spent some Cartwright cash on the alchemy station and studied in between classes.  Sher learned lots of recipes.  She also purchased additional recipes for potions at the campus bookstore.

She met a peculiar looking fellow named Shea Hollis, whom she became close friends with.  She thought he might come in handy as a friend later on.

George sent Kaley presents in the mail, saying how much he missed her.  Kaley never failed to contact George in some way every day either by writing him a letter, or sending him texts.

This is Liz Tarry who became fast friends with Kaley.  Liz is a good one to take the ink blot tests that Kaley likes to show everybody for extra credit.

Kaley's bravery came into play over and over again in the dorm.  Her dormmates were forever setting the kitchen on fire.  Kaley was so busy putting out fires, studying alchemy and science, there was no time to be evil or mean spirited.  And besides, Shea the plantsim was blowing her kisses these days that kept her thinking about him for several hours afterwords.

But the day before finals, Kaley boned up on anatomy, in the rain, no less.

At one point, she became so exhausted and  fell asleep in the park and napped, in the rain.

In no time at all, it was time go go back hom to Sunset Valley. Toward the end of the second term, Kaley didn't think much about George. Shea blinded her thoughts.

He invited her to many parties at his place.

Where they studied the stars together....

And did the keg stand....

She and Shea had become so close that he gave her herbs for her alchemy experiments...

Eventually he gave her more than that, he gave her is love.

But, soon Kaley's time was up at University, she graduated at the top of her class.

Time to go home.  She still thought of George every now and then, and talked with him on the phone occasionally, but she was not in love with George.

Kaley arrived home late in the evening and her eldest brother Humphrey stared at her as if he had seen a ghost.  What is in store for the Cartwrights?  Who will Kaley choose for a lifetime parnter?  The warlock George Ramey, or the plantsim Shea Hollis?

See you next time!

Generation 3.1

This chapter of the Cartwrights in Sunset Valley starts off with a bang for G2- Gene Cartwright.  The affair Gene had with neighbor Xrabbite Sims came to fruition, and little Tyrone was born.  X was none too happy about it.  Gene had been spending as much time as possible over at Xrabbite's house, hoping to be there when her time had 'come'.  Indeed he was, and was able to drive her to the hospital.

After making sure mom and baby were settled in for the night, Gene started home.  On the way, he was abducted by aliens.  Heh.  Seems like the only ones in this game that get abducted are elder males.   I do believe I like the abduction scenario in TS2 better than in TS3.  It happens so quickly in TS3, it could be missed by the casual player.

Humphrey set the stove on fire and the fire pickup truck finally came.  A gorgeous firewoman entered the scene, and all four Cartwright men on the lot threw attraction hearts.  I thought A-HA...maybe I can marry in a fireman so my Cartwrights will pick up 'can put out fires' trait.  Master Controller revealed this lady was four days from turning elder.  Nope.

Secondly, I wondered where my brave Sim Kaley was.  She was at her after school job in the grocery store, but was on her way home.  Upon arrival, she jumped in front of the firewoman, and assisted with putting out the flames while her brothers, uncle, and father screamed like little girls.

Once all the 'oh my there is a fire in the house' hoopla waned, Wendy and Kaley begin to argue and Kaley gets punished for something.  She spins up this wish.  Heh.  She wants her mother to burn up.  Well, maybe next time she won't put out that fire!

Erm...seconds later another fire starts.  Kaley starts to put it out....

Then quits working on it when the neighbors run over to gawk at the fire.  Xrabbite whips out the extinguisher and begins firefighting the grill.  Again, the Cartwright men are running around and screaming.

Kaley looks smug, as if she is hoping...hoping....  but alas, her plan didn't work.  Wendy lived to see another day.  In the mean time, Pete spun up 'See Fiery Ghost Of Wendy' after this second fire...must be the 'evil' traits coming thru.  Two of Wendy's kids want to see her burn up.  heh

Apparently Pete works with his Aunt Yusun Flowers, his mother's sister, and the Boss has directed that they get to know each other better.  Urg....Pete gets to the library to get to know Yusun better, and saw that she now sports fairy wings.  Back in her younger days when she was dating Pete's Uncle Gene....she was but a mere mortal...

Finally....it was Prom Night for the bad girl, Kaley Cartwright.  She had been unable to get close enough to any guys to get a date, due to her bad attitude.

Kaley wants world peace??  heh This coming from a girl who wants her mom to burn up.....

Well I guess there is someone who can overlook Kaley's bad attitude and mood swings.  heh

Jackie is at the end of his life, and could go any day.  His life meter is full.  He spends many hours nowadays playing in the sprinklers in Wendy's garden.  Founder Shane Cartwright doesn't think much of his son's activities.  How unbecoming of a Cartwright!

Wendy is at the end of her life too, and carries continuous wishes for her two boys Humphrey and Pete to get married.   And Gene is at the end of his too, but is now the father of a new son.  He spends his days at Xrabbite's house hanging out playing with Tyrone and talking to him.  Xrabbite in the mean time makes out with the David Tennant look alike right in front of him.  Gene doesn't care.

The summer festival was in full swing, and the family attempted an outing together on Leisure Day.

Humphrey and his Uncle Gene participated in the hot dog eating contest, along with with the lovely Selene Boelch.  She used to come home on the bus with Humphrey back in high school.  Alas, there is no attraction here, although Selena is a good age to marry in, and has gorgeous genes to add to the Cartwright pool.  Gene won the hotdog eating contest.

Oh stop my heart!!! Kaley has found this hottie, and there is a magnetic attraction.  He is George Ramey.  A peek under the hood with Master Controller reveals he has just aged up from teen ager hood, and is a witch!  WOOT!  I think Kaley just found the next Cartwright spouse!

This day at the Summer Festival happened to be Kaley's birthday to young adulthood.  Eh.  Uncle Gene was there to blow the party horn for her, while her mom and dad were roller skating, and her brother Humphrey had excused himself to attend a political fundraising party, and Pete the loner had gone home saying that it was too crowded for him.  Hmmmm what did Evil, Brave, Light Sleeper, and Mean Spirited Kaley roll for her next trait???  What else?  Insanity.  I couldn't believe my good luck.  Her LTW is Alchemy Artisian.  This fits right in with marrying a witch!

The next day was graduation day, and Kaley was the valedictorian.  Good for her.

She failed to bathe before graduation ceremonies.  But then again, she is insane and evil. hehehe!

Upon returning from graduation, the family was informed:

Jackie, Gene, and Henry's older sister passed on.  Marion contributed the following to the Completion Challenge:

Good show, Marion!  Bravo!  You did the Cartwright Family proud!

At this point in time, Kaley had to make a decision about college.  She has been chosen to be the Cartwright heir this generation, although I didn't plan it that way.  The game just kept throwing great stuff for her.  At any rate, she figured if she got a degree in science and medicine, it would assist her with her LTW.  And the future Mr. Cartwright, George Ramey, had the same degree.  (Thanks, Master Controller!)

Kaley takes the apptitude test.  She did not qualify for any scholarships, but no matter, the Cartwrights could pay.

And off she went.  Her two brothers Humphrey and Pete stood in the front yard waving and blowing good bye kisses.  heh

And here is Kaley at De Anda Hall.  Again, the Cartwrights could have paid for her to rent her own home, but Humphrey thought it would be a good character builder for her to live in the dorm.

This is where we end this installment of the Cartwrights.  Next Chapter:  University life for Kaley!

Have fun everyone, and keep Simming!

Generation 3

We pick up generation 3 with Wendy spending time with her children during homework time. Humphrey has received notice that if he gets an after school job, his school performance will improve. (that seems backward, but oh well) He is already on the honor roll, but the Cartwrights are not ones to turn down an opportunity. He gets a job working in the mausoleum.

The next day was the twin's birthday.  Humphrey was the first to blow out his birthday candles.

Wants to be Leader of the Free World

Traits
Absent Minded
Excitable
Virtuoso
Easily Impressed
Ambitious

Then it was Peter's turn.  Sweet, unassuming Peter.  He surprised everyone when he announced his life's ambition.

Wants to be the Emperor of Evil

Traits
Loner
Neurotic
Vehicle Enthusiast
Evil
Heavy Sleeper

Jackie exclaimed to Wendy that their boys had certainly set lofty goals for themselves. (All of the kids from this generation have the hidden ability to apprehend a burglar, including little Breckin born to Henry and Rosanne in Monte Vista).

The next day, Humphrey headed down to the courthouse and got a job in politics....

And Peter started hanging out at that abandoned warehouse on the edge of town.

The very next day was Kaley's birthday.  She did not get a party, as ASimWen forgot it was her birthday.  To pay ASimWen back for this faux pas.....Kaley rolls the 'mean spirited' trait.  Let us review.  This is in addition to the traits of evil, brave, and light sleeper.  And of course....Jackie is pointing and laughing.  How inappropriate!  heh

The Cartwrights were asleep for 3 hours when a burglar decided to stop by the house.   All the Cartwright men sat bolt straight upright and got out of bed at the same time, like synchronized swimming.  They walked single file to the front door where the burglar was waiting for them.

Heh.  Peter, who is in the Criminal field of work, got to the buglar first and beat him up.  How ironic.

He was rather pleased with himself.  :-)  The burglar alarm didn't even go off.

Grandpa Shane Cartwright woke light sleeper Kaley up playing with the computer in her room.  It's gonna go into the family inventory, after all, there are three computers in the house and only one writer now.  (Jackie - Journalism).

Humphrey spent lots of time in public shaking hands and kissing babies to prepare for his career in politics.  He seemed to have a lot of charisma, and had no trouble at all making friends.  Why, everyone seemed to like him.  He would take Kaley with him during these outings, hoping that she would manage to make friends too, being cursed with the traits of evil and mean spirited.  However, if she managed to get anyone to talk to her it always ended up in an argument.

Pete...aka Peter on the other hand hit a snag one night at his job.

Yes, Pete gets arrested.  I wonder how this will play out for Humphrey's adoring public in his political life???  I can see the headlines now....'Local Politician's Brother Arrested For Having A Lime In His Pocket!'

Heheheh!

Sunset Valley's finest is working over time this night....after throwing Pete in jail, the officer drove right over to the Cartwright house where Pete's family was sleeping and caught a burglar.  Wow, lawlessness seems to have taken over the town.

Pete thinks to grease a few palms at City Hall, where his brother Humphrey works.  He is hoping that he can get Humphrey's office to look the other way when it comes to his employer's illicit activities....and maybe he won't waste any more time in jail.

Even Humphrey couldn't stop Pete from getting arrested for his bribery attempt.  At this rate, Pete will never reach TOC.

In the meantime, life goes on.  Wendy spends lots of time in her garden.  She is 85 years old now.

ASIMWEN INSTALLS UNIVERSITY

Heh.  At 85 years of age, Gene finally gets his first woohoo, with Xrabbite during a party.  However, this weird glitch happened.  Right before woohoo, Gene whipped out his smart phone and chose 'take romantic picture together' of him and Xrabbite.  Xrabbite instantly took on Gene's unique look.  That is her in the brown jacket.  I laughed so hard.  They ducked under the covers in woohoo, and upon resurfacing, Xrab was her old self again.  I couldn't resist....I had to try for baby.  heh

In the meantime, Humphrey gets calls from the ladies for dates.  This is Brooke Staples.  Not only is she beautiful, but she loves to talk politics.  However, Humphrey found out she is married, and thought it best to nip it in the bud and end the involvement with her right away.  The last thing he needed was a scandal to hurt his political career.

Gene sees Xrabbite at the park, and yes indeed she is pregnant with his child.  The David Tennant look alike there in the back ground is disgusted by this public display.   He lives in Xrabbite's household, and was upset when Gene and X slept together.  They must have a 'thang'.

And this is where we leave the Cartwrights in Sunset Valley for this round, after playing two Sim weeks.  Pete finally got a good nights' work in by sleeping through his shift and got  a promotion to level four in Criminal.   At this point, I couldn't stand it any longer and I installed Seasons, Supernatural, and Generations.  I will installed WA and Ambitions later.

On to the Cartwrights in Monte Vista.

It is early morning in Monte Vista, and Henry is tending his garden, thinks to keep a 'perfect' garden.  Every plant is producing a perfect fruit/vegetable.  He completes the Master Farmer challenge.

Breckin, the son of Henry Cartwright and Rosanne (former maid) Cartwright ages up to toddler.  He does not look like the typical Cartwright, with the brown hair and green eyes of his mother.

Henry checks out the new science station and begins to build up his science interest.  I find it funny that a Mad Scientist with top gardening, fishing, and logic skills still has to work up science interest to use this effectively.

In the meantime, Breckin ages up to child, and decides to pay a 'trick or treat' call on the vampire/faerie couple that moved in next door, as he had a wish to meet a supernatural.

Heh, I didn't have him change into a costume.

He decided to raid the University present that has been sitting in the yard since he was born. Maybe he will go.

 Heh.

And we end this chapter with Breckin's birthday to teen, outside in the snow.  ;-)  Eh, Breckin, I think you need to change out of those shorts.

Having a blast with Seasons and Supernatural.  Breckin became a ghost temporarily when he went through the haunted house numerous times at the fall festival, and then trick or treating was alot of fun.

Like the fact that the first gnome of the Completion Challenge has been earned.  Rosanne got the witch gnome when she went through the haunted house at the fall festival.

Henry was abducted by aliens; he is nearly at the end of his life, he is 85 years old, and only a sliver left on his life bar.  When he was dumped out of the alien space ship, the aliens were benevolent enough to clean up the zombies that were hanging out in the Cartwright yard.  :-)  On the subject of zombies - I don't find them to be too bad, I found it funny when two of them died Grim came for them.  Erm...how could they die if they are the living dead??

At this point, I think it is pertinent to post score:

Generation 1 contributed 16 points to the Completion Challenge.
Generation 2 is up to 40 points contributed so far.
Generation 3 is up to 14.
Total points - 70. (thank you Excel).

This is assuming everyone meets their LTW, and their points can be counted.  Roseanne, Breckin, Peter, Humphrey, and Kaley have not met their LTW.

Next chapter, we will be back in Sunset Valley!  Have fun everyone, and keep on Simmin'!
